Privacy Policy

We believe privacy is a right, not a feature. This document explains exactly what data Rori collects, where it lives, and how it is used.

Last updated: April 19, 2026  ·  Effective: April 19, 2026

The short version

  • All your data stays on your device. We do not have a server that receives your baby's logs, feeding times, or health records.

  • We do not sell, rent, or share your data. Ever. With anyone.

  • We collect no personal identifiers unless you voluntarily contact our support email.

  • No advertising SDKs or third-party analytics are embedded in Rori.

1. Who We Are

Rori ("we," "our," or "us") is an independent mobile application developed and maintained by its creator. For questions about this policy, contact us at isaacdarcilla@gmail.com.

2. What Data Rori Collects

2.1 Data You Enter (Stored Locally Only)

The following data is entered by you and stored exclusively in an SQLite database on your device. It is never transmitted to any external server:

  • Baby profile information: name, date of birth, birth weight, and profile photo (stored as a local file path)
  • Feeding logs: type (breast/bottle), volume, duration, and timestamp
  • Sleep logs: type (nap/night), start time, duration, and optional notes
  • Diaper logs: type (wet/dirty/both) and timestamp
  • Health records: temperature readings, weight, height, medication names and doses
  • Caregiver names you choose to add within the app

2.2 Data We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, and have no access to:

  • Your name, email address, or any account credentials (no account is required to use Rori)
  • Your device's advertising identifier (IDFA/GAID)
  • Your location data
  • Your contacts or address book
  • Crash reports or analytics telemetry (Rori contains no analytics SDK)
  • In-app behavior or usage patterns

2.3 Voluntary Contact

If you contact us at our support email, we receive only what you include in that email — your email address and the content you write. We use this solely to respond to your inquiry and delete it upon resolution.

3. How Your Data Is Stored

All activity data is stored in an SQLite database file (rori.db) on your device's local file system, in WAL (Write-Ahead Logging) mode for reliability. This file is protected by your device's native app sandboxing and is not accessible by other apps unless you have explicitly enabled file-sharing in your device settings.

We strongly recommend keeping your device's operating system and Rori up to date to benefit from the latest security patches.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share your data with any third party, including:

  • Advertising networks
  • Analytics providers
  • Data brokers
  • Healthcare companies
  • Government entities (except where legally compelled, in which case we would be unable to provide your locally-stored data as we do not possess it)

Because all data lives on your device, we are physically incapable of sharing it without your explicit action (such as sharing an export file you created).

5. Children's Privacy

Rori is designed to help parents track information about their infants and young children. The app is operated by and for adults (parents and caregivers). We do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. No child is required to interact with the app directly.

All data entered about a child is stored locally on the parent or caregiver's device and is subject to the same protections described throughout this policy.

6. App Store Platforms

Rori is distributed through Apple's App Store and the Google Play Store. These platform operators may collect certain device-level information as described in their own privacy policies (Apple Privacy Policy; Google Privacy Policy). Rori has no control over and receives no data from these platform-level collection mechanisms.

7. Your Rights and Choices

7.1 Deletion

You may delete all data stored by Rori at any time by uninstalling the application from your device. Because we do not hold a copy of your data, uninstalling is the complete and permanent deletion mechanism.

7.2 Export

Future versions of Rori will include a data export feature allowing you to receive a structured copy of all your logs in a portable format.

7.3 Access and Correction

You have full access to all data within the app at all times and may edit or delete any entry directly from the Timeline or log screens.

8. Security

Rori stores your data using the following protections:

  • App sandboxing enforced by iOS and Android
  • SQLite WAL mode for data integrity
  • No network transmission of any activity data

No method of storage is 100% secure. We recommend keeping your device protected with a passcode and keeping the OS and Rori updated.

9. Third-Party Services

Rori currently includes no third-party SDKs for analytics, advertising, crash reporting, or any other purpose. The app's dependencies are limited to open-source UI and database libraries that operate entirely on-device.

10. Changes to This Policy

If we update this Privacy Policy, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top and notify users through an in-app notice on the next launch. Continued use of Rori after a policy update constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will always maintain the core commitment: your baby's data stays on your device.
